Opazity helps catch, hold and maintain an audience’s attention

Since first writing this, I’ve put lots more demo videos on the Opazity site and you can try it before you buy. Hop straight over there and check it out: www.Opazity.com

Opazity is my own product. It helps presenters catch, hold and maintain an audience’s attention by blurring, and therefore hinting at, something to be revealed. For the first time without leaving PowerPoint it is possible to fill PowerPoint shapes with a fuzzy image of the underlying slide.

An obvious use for Opazity is by teachers or anyone who wants to make a ‘fun’ quiz: who can answer the question before the blurred image is removed and the clear image revealed?

What is more, the Opazity effect can be used by anyone who wants to introduce more subtlety into their presentation visuals. It has been known since the beginning of photography that throwing the background slightly out of focus brings attention to the foreground. Until Opazity, this effect was missing from PowerPoint, which is all ‘hard edge’.

Opazity saves time to create this effect and it encourages experimentation because it is so easy to use. In my own use I soon discovered several uses I had not originally thought of, such as creating sophisticated transitions between slides and making a feathered shadow for text.

System requirements are: Windows 98 Second Edition or later (including Vista) and PowerPoint 2000 or later (including PowerPoint 2007).
