Relational Presentation

Relational Presentation is not at the leading edge of presentation development, it is the leading edge

At the bottom of this page is a link to a site which has a great demo video that is the best explanation around. But I can tell you that part of this involves setting up a network of presentation slides that you navigate while presenting. And you do not need any software except PowerPoint to do it.

Escaping the linear constraints of PowerPoint you can create a visually interactive presentation that will involve your audience and make them forget that they ever heard the phrase ‘Death by PowerPoint’!

Relational Presentation: A Visually Interactive Approach

With your sides in a Relational Presentation network you can:

navigate to any one of hundreds or thousands of slides with just a few mouse clicks - without having to memorise where they all are

spontaneously tailor a presentation to the knowledge level of an audience should it turn out different from that anticipated

use a range of alternatives to those dreaded bulleted lists

spontaneously pause mid-flow to answer a question with, say, a subset of detailed slides, and then return seamlessly to where you left off. (That’s so cool when you see it done!)

jump to the close when the moment is right, or always finish on time (How many ‘in the bag’ sales were lost by going on too long!)

This gives you, the presenter:

freedom from the linear constraints of slideshows, and therefore greater control and confidence

the development of more interaction with the audience

more time, once an adequate network of slides has been built up, as you no longer have to prepare each individual presentation
